The 2nd International Conference on Seafloor Landforms, Processes and Evolution will be organised by the University of Milano-Bicocca, MBARI, University of Kiel, University of Malta and the Submarine Geomorphology working group of the International Association of Geomorphologists (IAG), and will take place on the 1st to 3rd July 2024 in Lipari, Italy.
The main objectives of the conference are:
Provide a forum for sharing the state-of-the-art in our knowledge of seafloor processes and their investigation, to identify the key gaps and devise a strategy to address them
Provide a platform for early career scientists to present their work and expand their networks
Bring together different stakeholders (e.g. scientists, students, industry professionals, government agencies, community and non-governmental organisations) to promote communication and collaborative interactions
Outline current trends in submarine geomorphological research that represent key-themes for the entire range of Earth system science and environment-related topics
Conference participants will have the opportunity to publish their work in a special issue of an international journal after the conference.
