Here is a breakdown of the climate statistics for Lipari in July:
Lipari experiences an average temperature of 27°C (80°F) during July, with a minimum temperature of 23°C (73°F) and a maximum temperature of 30°C (86°F).
Enjoy ample sunshine during your stay, with an average of 9.9 hours of sunshine each day. There is a 90% chance of experiencing sunny days.

While July is one of the less windy months, be prepared for occasional breezes, as Lipari’s name “Eolie” suggests, signifying the lands of Aeolus, the God of Winds. The mean wind speed in July is 13 km/h, with prevailing winds from the northwest (Maestrale) and southeast (Scirocco).
Clothing Suggestions for July in Lipari:
Opt for lightweight, breathable attire.
Consider long-sleeved shirts or blouses for cooler evenings.
Don’t forget to pack your swimwear to enjoy the beautiful beaches and clear waters of Lipari.
Choose comfortable walking shoes or sandals, especially for exploring the island. Water shoes can be handy for rocky beach areas.
Shield yourself from the sun with sunglasses, a wide-brimmed hat, and sunscreen.
While evenings are typically warm, having a light jacket or cardigan is advisable for cooler breezes.
Although July is typically dry, it’s prudent to check the weather forecast before your trip and consider packing a compact umbrella just in case.
Take a boat excursion around the island to explore its stunning coastline, sea caves, and hidden coves. Many tours also include stops at other Aeolian Islands like Vulcano and Stromboli. Most boats depart from Marina Corta, but there are also agencies available at the main port. It is highly recommended to visit Da Massimo, located at Via Maurolico 2 (http://damassimo.it), where there are English-speaking staff and boats that are clean, well-maintained, and equipped with freshwater showers and canopies. The prices for these tours are generally the same across all operators. Da Massimo also collaborates with Magmatrek (https://www.magmatrek.it/) to offer boat trips to Stromboli, which includes an overnight ascent of the volcano. Additionally, operators provide beach shuttles during the summer season to great beaches on Lipari, such as Praia Vinci, which are difficult to reach otherwise.
Lipari is an ideal destination for those interested in snorkelling and diving. There are numerous underwater caves to explore, and the marine life is vibrant and diverse. If you’re looking to experience the most spectacular dives in the Aeolian Islands, head to Panarea, Stromboli, or Filicudi, all of which can be reached on day trips from Lipari. For those who prefer to stay closer to home, the most interesting dives are located along the rocky west coast. If you’re interested, many of the larger hotels can put you in touch with a reputable diving school. Alternatively, you can contact the Diving Centre La Gorgonia, located at Salita S. Giuseppe, Marina Corta (http://lagorgoniadiving.it).
Go hiking on Monte Rosa, the highest peak on Lipari. The trek offers breathtaking views of the island and the surrounding sea.
Explore Valle Muria, a picturesque valley with lush vegetation and a hidden beach. It’s a great spot for nature lovers and hikers.
Spend a day relaxing on Canneto Beach, a beautiful sandy beach with clear blue waters. You can swim, sunbathe, or enjoy water sports
Visit local wineries and taste the unique wines produced on the island. https://www.tenutadicastellaro.it/it

Sicily is a safe place to visit, as there are not many health problems that visitors might face. The most common problems may arise due to the extreme heat in summer or an upset stomach. While there are no compulsory vaccinations, it is advisable to bring insect repellent and sun protection. The tap water is safe to drink, even though bottled water is preferred for its taste. You will find public drinking fountains in city streets and squares, but be cautious of “acqua non potabile” signs, which indicate that the water is not suitable for drinking.
When you’re in Italy and need medical assistance, you can visit a pharmacy (Farmacia) to seek advice on minor ailments and get your prescriptions dispensed. Most towns and villages have a doctor (Medico) available, and you can ask at a pharmacy to find one. For out-of-hours medical assistance, such as weekends, holidays, and night-time, you can go to the local first-aid clinic called Guardia Medica, which is available in most towns. Although these clinics may be minimally equipped, they can treat minor illnesses and injuries such as stings, bites, fevers, and accidents. In case of an emergency, dial 112 and ask for ‘Ospedale’ or ‘ambulanza’. The nearest hospital will have a Pronto Soccorso section, which is equivalent to the A&E department. If you’re on smaller islands or places with no hospital, a Guardia Medica clinic is usually available.
The supply is 220V, although anything requiring 240V will work. Sockets have two or three round pins (and some sockets have larger holes than others), Type C, Type L, and Type F (aka Schuko plug):
Two small pins (increasingly rare in Italy)
Two small pins (increasingly rare in Italy)
Three small pins
A travel adaptor plug is very useful.
